Gigabyte B250-HD3 Motherboard Dual Channel Problem

I recently purchased a Gigabyte B250-HD3 Motherboard. After installing everything, I tried to boot up the system only to find it going in an infinity boot loop. After hours of troubleshooting I found out that it was just my RAM slots. I also purchased 2 sets of (2 x 4gb Crucial Ballistix Sport 2400Mhz) I re-seated my RAM repeatedly and I found out that my RAM did not work in Dual Channel.

My RAM Configuration looks like this:

{-----------------------------------------------------------} DDR4_3 (work)
{-----------------------------------------------------------} DDR4_1 (work)

My system only fully boots when I put the rams in slots 1 and 3. I understand that for dual channel, my motherboard says that the RAM must be in slots 1-2 and 3-4. So I could only run 2 out of the 4 sticks I have even though all sticks work.

I'm really stumped as to what the problem is. I updated the BIOS to the most current version and I enabled XMP profile. Also, I've checked the pins on both the motherboard and CPU, both are in perfect shape.

My current specs are:

CPU: Intel Pentium G4560
Motherboard: Gigabyte B250-HD3 rev1.0
Memory: 2 (2 x 4gb Crucial Ballistix Sport 2400Mhz)

If someone can help me, I'd really appreciate it.

Seems like a motherboard warranty issue to me. Bad RAM slots unfortunately do happen...
I expect you to have tried all RAM sticks in the two functional slots, to make sure it's not a problem with the RAM sticks.

Yes, I have tried all the RAM sticks in the functional slots. I was even able to get the computer to work with the two functioning RAM slots (1 and 3) and installed the OS and everything onto my drives. It was just the two RAMM slots (2 and 4) that are not functioning. I got such a good deal on it as it was on clearance for only $50 brand new. I currently have 2 year replacement warranty as well. Should I return the motherboard now? or wait til other MB prices drop and then go for an exchange? I bought it from Microcenter.

It's up to you. Personally I wouldn't count on a general price drop, but perhaps a sale price on some other suitable motherboard.

I do understand your feeling. Got myself a 1TB SSD at a very good price some time ago, but it died in three months. When I returned it to the retailer they no longer sold that model, so I got my money back. Getting a replacement would cost about twice as much as I had paid, so I went back to HDD instead...
