[SOLVED] Gigabyte b550 vs b450

I am planning to build a nzxt h1 gaming pc with ryzen 3600 , the b5501 cost 90 CAD more than the B450 , do u think it worth to buy a b550 for gaming purpose only and will i get more performance from b5501 versus the b450, what the advantage of getting b b550 over the b450 for ryzen 5 3600.

There will be no performance difference with a 3600. The B550 will support 4000 series when released. B450 will likely support 4000 but not guaranteed. If you don’t plan on upgrading this does not matter.

Edit: 4000 series is the last to use this cpu socket upgrading to later generations is not an option.

As for PCIE4.0 it currently makes no difference. If (big if) it makes a difference with next generation gpu’s then I’d only expect it on top tier cards. The 2080Ti does not fully saturate PCIE 3.0, maybe the 3080Ti would but then someone wanting to buy a 3080Ti is unlikely to be building on a B450/B550 & 3600.
