[SOLVED] Gigabyte BIOS update (B450)

hey there
just a short question, I'll be getting a new B450 Gaming board with ryzen 3600, and I just want to confirm something, if I want to update my bios, I just need to download the latest bios from the mobo site? then install it using q-flash?
or should I download all the bios updates and then install them one by one?

Which exact B450 Gaming? There are several with similar names. The board must have a flash back feature to allow you to do the BIOS update without a cpu installed. Most require you to have a cpu that is compatible with the current BIOS before you can do the update, meaning you would need a 1000 or 2000 series cpu to do the update.

Both of those would require a 1000/2000 series cpu to do the BIOS update if it’s required. If the seller can confirm a 3000 series BIOS is installed then no problem.

Depends what BIOS is installed.

Then you would need a 1000/2000 series cpu installed to do the update before a 3000 series cpu will work. You can’t do the update with a 3000 series installed.
