Recently bought a Ryzen 5 3600, an Auros Elite B450 and ram, could anyone talk me through the process of updating the bios to make this board compatible with the new ryzen cpu's.

I contacted AMD and they approved me for a bootkit should have it in the next few days, it's a athlon 200ge I think.

I understand the bios updating to the most part, there is 3 versions, from f32, f40 to f41a and have to be done starting from the f32 but there is also a ec fw update tool which I'm not sure about it has something to do with the ram compatibility. Is that done with Windows installed or through bios?

Looking for help as I don't want to brick my board

It's in the manual. Once you install compatible CPU and RAM, enter BIOS and find "Q-Flash" while BIOS version you want to install is placed on a FAT32 formatted USB, follow further instruction on the UEFI screen. If downloaded BIOS is in .zip or .rar format it has to be unarchived first.
Also follow instructions from here https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-ELITE-rev-10/support#support-dl-bios where you can also download the BIOS from.
