Hey everyone, I have question on updating a bios on a new rig.
I need to update my Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 (rev. 1.0) board for the i5 7600k I just bought (so it will take kabylake). My concern is how to handle the USB sticks. I'll have one with the new OS and one with the bios update. Should I have both plugged in when I turn on? Use q-flash and update. Then change boot priority to the OS stick and choose save and reset? Or should I only have one stick plugged in when I update. Once the update is complete, with PC on, swap out stick and reset and install OS? Or is there a shut down option in the bios so I can safely swap drives? Sorry if that dosent make sense. I've never updated a bios or really messed around in it before.
Thanks
