I would appreciate your help in choosing a GPU. I earlier had an R9 280X 3GB GPU which got fried last week.

Key specs:
MB - Gigabyte board Ga-z87-hd3
CPU - i5 4570k ( not OC)
Power - Corsair 850 W
RAM - DDR3 8 GB

space inside case - around 29 CMs

Whilst budgets need to be considered, I am cognizant of the fact that a GPU can last for a while considering my use of the PC is primarily for gaming. I would say Battlefield 1 and the soon to be released Battlefield 5.

Would appreciate input around base model to the highest specs GPU i can run with the current rig.

I do not think that your cpu can work with battlefield 5 because just was seeing the specs online for it might be wrong but many websites saying the same about Battlefield V, Would Suggest Saving up and get an new cpu and maybe 4GB GPU

OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
Processor (AMD): AMD FX-6350
Processor (Intel): Core i5 6600K

Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ HD 7850 2GB
Graphics card (NVIDIA): nVidia GeForce® GTX 660 2GB
DirectX: 11.0 Compatible video card or equivalent
Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
Hard-drive space: 50GB

Thanks for quick response xxDMxx.

What would you recommend as a GPU now which could also be compatible with a CPU that I might change in the future.

Thats an hard one for me because dont know what GPU to recommend for you but if your in budget would suggest 4GB GTX Card because there recommend gpu for battlefield is 2GB but with the cpu maybe an Core i5 6600K or one higher but not sure about bottlenecking and such!

These are the Minimum Requirements to run battlefield V but here the wesbite with the specs off the recommended Ones

Fair point. I was wondering at the top end, the RX 580 8gb OR as another user pointed out the GTX 1060 6 gb.
Cost wise RX is around EUR 350 vs GTX for EUR 308.

Looking around the forum, consensus is that there is not much difference in performance. I would think then power consumption matters??

Thanks for the various comments. Based on the website provided by xxDMxx, the other specs will help to play the game. CPU is around 82% of recommended settings. I guess medium settings game it is.

I got the GTX1060 6 GB
