Gigabyte EasyTune isnt working.

Hi, recently I have been having major cpu problems. My cpu went from 3.5ghz to .90-1ghz. I tried using Gigabyte EasyTune to overclock it but when I do and it asks to restart, after I do the bios says it cant boot my pc because something isn't configured right. My mobo is GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3P and my CPU is AMD FX 8350.

Boot into Bios and set optimized defaults then check memory speed & timings then save settings and exit bios.

Ive done this many times, and if a CPU isn't performing properly will it effect your internet? Because when I turn my pc on it instantly screws up my internet and wifi.

Remove the easytune. It is not needed and sometimes conflicts with other apps. Might need to reinstall MB drivers?

EDIT:
Just realized that you probably cannot remove easytune. Might have to reinstall windows and MB drivers. Don't install the utilities.

I'm getting a new hdd sometime soon for this pc. I thought I had a WD Black but I have an old ass Dell hard drive. Also might it be a virus?

You might try downloading malwarebytes free. Set scan to look for rootkits too and then scan and quarantine all it finds.

Ok, also what are rootkits? (Second PC built and I'm still dumb)

Rootkits are maleware that disguises it's self as part of windows. Harder to find.

That is Chrome. You might want to uninstall Chrome, then re-install it if you want to use it.
