Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 1070

Can anyone tell me what mhz this card supports, above 60mhz, eg. 120, 144, 165?
I have zero clue but I have been told that some video cards will only support lower frame rates, hence I don't want to waste my money purchasing a monitor that will not use the full frame rate.

It can support any Hz.

Whether it'll be able to hit a certain FPS (60, 120, 144, etc) will depend on the graphical settings and the game.

and, being an old fart, is there really a difference between the 60mhz and 144mhz? i have tried both in WOW and honestly find that both seem about the same, both run smoothly and I don't see any "tears" that people talk about.

If you don't see tearing it could be because you build can't display more than 60fps. If it can't get above 60fps then you wouldn't see tearing on the 60hz monitor anyway (and especially not on the 144hz monitor).

In games like WOW, I can set to either 60, 120 or 144 - and the game does seem to acknowledge the change, but when playing I just can't see any difference between 60 and 144, maybe I have just gotten too used to 144 - or I'm an old fart that can't see the difference

You can always use some software to show the FPS to see if you're hitting the right FPS.

Gees I got so excited there for a moment, seems like a really really nice, monitor, hits everything just right, except, I'm in Canada 🙁 I checked the major stores online, none seem to carry it 🙁
Amazon.ca has it for $1,147.00

What do you think of BENQ for gaming monitors........

The only reason I don't like the BenQ is that it's FreeSync and it would be useless on an Nvidia GPU.

Otherwise, BenQ makes good monitors from what I've read.

Okay fair enough, I can understand that.
Tried an Asus, guessing I got a bad one as it was horrible.
This MSI isn't bad but not quite big enough for me.
Would love to have gone back to Samsung, but they don't have anything in my price range with the specs I'm looking for.
