I just purchased a Gigabyte G34WQC, and everything seems to be working well including G-Sync compatibility. I have one question. After my computer rests for a little while (not sure how long) the monitor cycles through various shades of color. Is this a screen saver of some kind? Most of my other monitors have just gone black. I can't find anything in the settings menu to turn this off, so right now I've resorted to turning the monitor off each time I'm finished with my computer. Does anyone know how to turn this off? It's really bright, so it's distracting at night.

Solution
After my computer rests for a little while (not sure how long) the monitor cycles through various shades of color.
by "rest" you mean in a sleep or hibernate mode
or just the screen being disabled after some time of inactivity while the system is still running?

if it's occurring while the system is not running;
than it is more than likely hardwired into the display.
you should check the user manual
or may need to contact the manufacturer to find out how you may be able to disable it.

if it occurs while the system is still running;
it may just be an OS setting being triggered, make sure all screensaver options are disabled.
and make sure you have no third party applications related to screensavers.
