Hello all,
I am on a tight budget and building a new PC (purpose: gaming + Photoshop)

I have selected :

MoBo: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 (32 DDR3 Dual Channel DIMM )
CPU: AMD 3.5 AM3+ FX 6-Core Edition FX-6300 (FD6300WMHKBOX)
RAM : 8GB 1066 MHz

The reason to select this mobo is it has IDE slot and currently, I'm on tight budget, so I will use my old HDD.. couple of months later I can upgrade to a SATA HDD.

But on this Mobo, the RAM is limited to 1066 (after Overclock 1333).. anyways I am not much into overclocking :)

Question is: how much difference it makes if:

1. I install 8GB 1066 MHz RAM later I can go upto 32 GB (for farcry4 or photoshop cs5)
2. I install 4GB 1600 MHz .(for farcry4 or photoshop cs5)

thanks for your help.

Solution
There will be no issue. If You are using 8gb of ram with 1066 Mhz its enough for anything u want to do with your computer..Honestly U dont have to be worry about it...It is perfectly ok with all your multitasking and high end gaming and also u can buy more ram in future..It supports whooping 32 gb of ram..So u are perfectly ok with it..
