I recently bought a Gigabyte GA-7DX motherboard un ubid.com. Everything arrived okay, but my motherboard says it's revision 2.2. Gigabyte's website only references pcb rev 3.0/4.0, but I noticed tomshardware.com did it's inital review of the motherboard with a 2.3 revision.
My main problem is that my brand new 1.4GHz thunderbird will ony run at 1.0GHz. I noticed the clock multipliers on the board, and tomshardware.com's mention of it...is there any way I can force my 1.4G to work on this board? I am fairly comfortable with SMT soldering, as long as I know what it is I'm supposed to solder/desolder.
Any help would be much appreciated.
