Gigabyte ga-7n400 3pin system fan required ?

Hi,
I have the Gigabyte GA-7N400 motherboard and am using it in a Antec Sonata case. I recently upgraded my Power Supply to a Seasonic S12-430 and am trying to install the new power supply onto the motherboard. However , I don't have a 3pin connection from my power supply for the SYS_FAN ( System Fan Connector ) and I am wondering if it is even required ? I have hooked everything up but when I boot up there is an annoying tone that is coming from the front of the case that to me sounds like a warning tone and I'm wondering if it's because the system fan isn't connected ?
If anyone has any ideas what I'm doing wrong or if I should post a question in either the Antec or Seasonic discussions let me know.

3-pin fan headers (or 4-pin for CPU FAN) *supply* power, they do NOT receive power. Do NOT connect a power connector from the PS to these headers.
In certain cases, the power supply may have a "dummy" 3-pin plug that just reports the (supply's) fan speed in order to allow that fan speed to appear in the BIOS or other monitoring software.

The tone is a "beep code" or other signal from the motherboard. Your motherboard's manual or tech support should be able to tell you what the code/tone means.
