I have a Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H I just put in a custom computer for someone. While installing it worked fine. Two days later the customer calls and says the computer keeps rebooting. I got there to find the computer going through the post, recognizes the RAID5 system drives, then goes to a black screen with the message "Begin to update Backup BIOS to latest version..Writing to BIOS.........." Then it just reboots.
1) I have updated from version F3 (where the problem started) to F7 BIOS
2) Disconnected all external devices except for monitor, keyboard, and mouse,
3) Reset the Fail-Safe defaults and optimum defaults
4) Took out CMOS battery and replaced
When it works it works good. The last 30 min of trying I could not get past that error.
Processor: AMD3
RAM: DDR3 4 GB
3 SATA WD hard drives setup for RAID5
2 SATA LG DVD drives
550 W Power Supply
Anybody have any suggestions?
