The northbridge fan on my 8I875Ultra started making a buzzing sound
about 2 months ago. Thus I've been instructed by a few friends to replace
it with a new one.
The best solution I could find was the passive Zalman northbridge
cooler, but I'm not sure if this will provide adequate cooling for the
chipset beacuse I don't even know how hot the 875P chipset can become.
I could use the help from everyone.
Will the Zalman cooler provide good cooling for the chipset?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Glitch,

I'm running the Zalman NB-47J Cooler on my GA-IK1100 Rev. 2, which is
similar to your 8I875, for 16 months now - no probs! I'd advice a good air
ventilation, my case is equiped with 2 slow intake fans and 1exhaust fan.

Greets,
Tom
