Gigabyte GA 970a DS3P fx memory capability

I'm going nuts trying to make a decision on 16g (2x8) ram, I'm hoping you can push me in the right direction....after looking at many I came up with G.SKILL Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-1866C10D-16GAB.....will that work or maybe a better choice, Thx Steve

What's the motherboard model?
You should make sure that memory is supported by that motherboard.

Also, I went from a 965BE to an FX-8350 last year. It was a good boost in gaming for me because my video card (RX480) was definitely being held back. You may need to upgrade your HD7700 to see a major difference in gaming.
