The Gigabyte is the better board, Which MSI were you looking at specifically though. The G43 and G46 have seen problems.

then yes I would go with the Gigabyte however if you want to do serious overclocking you should probably look at the 990FX series of Motherboards(the higher end AM3+ Boards) as these are best for Ocing.

overclocking you should probably look at the 990FX series --- i'll go for that

with am3+ and its chips for oc'ing or 125w look at boards with at least a 8+2 phase vrm

the gigabyte 990fxa ud3 rev4 is about priced as cheap as ever and handles all am3+ chips up to there 220w most do not

ok heres what I thought -- for a few bucks more you could get the 990fx witch should be better but I see new egg is fooling folks with there prices again on this page its listed form 108 less rebate and for $93 [that's a heck of a deal] but click on it to the product page and the price has changed to the higher ???
