Gigabyte GA-H110M-S2V + Pentium G4560

Solution

thats the problem. if the motherboard comes with an old BIOS version the only way you will be able to update the BIOS is to install a CPU supported by the older BIOS to get the computer to boot to update the BIOS. if you are looking to get this CPU then look for a motherboard with an Intel 200 series chipset examples are H270 and B250

Most new motherboards can update the BIOS themselves. Some have a utility which will check on the internet and download it themselves and install it. Others require you to download it on another computer and put it on a flash drive (or, in the old days, floppy drive). The key is that there has to be a compatible cpu installed to do the BIOS update.
