Hi All,

I am trying to upgrade my ram in my Gigabyte ga-h55m-d2h V1.4 from 2x2GB to 2x4GB.

I bought 2 x Kingston KVR16LN11/4 4GB PC3L-12800 1600MHz thinking being DDR3 that it would just work.

I realised that by default it was not 1333MHz but I thought I could run in at a lower speed or in OC.
The motherboard manual said Support for DDR3 1666 (O.C.)/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules.

I installed the Ram and it loads the bios without any issues.
It sees that its 1600MHz but runs at 1333MHz.

When it tries to load the Windows 10 OS it loaded into an Automatic Recovery mode and then reboots. Then loads the windows boot screen and then bluescreens with a kernal fault exception.

Is there anyway to get this Ram to work on this motherboard by configuring the bios?
I have never OC Ram before or done any manual configurations.

Here are the manuals for the motherboard and the Ram
https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-H55M-D2H-rev-14
https://www.kingston.com/datasheets/kvr16ln11_4.pdf

In my further research I realise that you should now search a compatibility list before buying ram.
Kingstons website doesn't list any motherboard for GA-h55M
https://www.kingston.com/en/memory/Search/options
Corsair does list the motherboard but doesn't show any available ram
https://www.corsair.com/ww/en/memoryfinder?type=motherboard

I have already bought the Ram and can't return it now.
I would really like to get it to work on the Motherboard if possible.

I feel I am reading some cryptic message.

Are you saying a single memory stick should work but not the 2 identical sticks together or are you basically saying "Buyer Beware" i.e. know what you are buying and make sure it is compatible before you buy.

What I am looking help for is
1. Is there some possible configuration I could make in the bios that would support the Ram I purchased and what settings would I change.
2. Is there no hope and I should sell/give away the Ram I bought as there is no chance I can get it to work.
