Gigabyte GA-H81M-H with i7 4790k

Solution
the cpu support list only lists 0ne bios version-F7. So if a weak pentium g can run in there then gigabyte assures you can run the 4790k. But a K processor in an H81?if you don't plan to overclock that is fine but you should save up for a z series mobo if you do

Solution
you have gone totally wrong with the board h81 is okk for i3 processor but for a i7 4790k you will need a z97 board u can use the i7 4790k with h81 board but u cannot oc the processor and you will need a BIOS update for your board to support the processor as your board supports haswel and the processor is a haswell refresh.

Actually after looking at that chart Celeron posted and at the list intel and gigabyte had up. I should be fine because I bought the revision 1.1 of the mobo which says it supports the 4790k out of the box.

And I don't plan on over clocking but if I need to I can buy a new mobo. (Just if the system won't boot)
