Hi all,

I have this gigabyte mobo that won't POST at the moment and it has all the lights lit up when trying to power on. I only have one power supply that comes with the ATX 12V EPS 8 pin, but for some reason this PSU only works with one AMD system that I have, it turns on and stuff but no image is displayed. I have tried that power supply on other working systems and no image. On this gigabte mobo, It turns on and stayes on but there is no sign that it works since this power supply doesn't display an image. I have two other power supplies without an 8 pin but these stay on for about 2 secs then keeps turning off then on.

It is important that I point out that one pin in the socket is broken but the mobo was not working before it was broken.

Can anyone please shed some light on what I could do ?

Any help what be much appreciated.

HI mate, thanks for replying.

so there is the GIgabyte GA-P55-UD4P which has an intel I3 550 in it. I have also tried an I7 860 as well and I know these both work.
ATI AMD Radeon HD 5450. I have also tried other GPU's and display cables.
Samsung 2 x 2 GB sticks, and have aslo tried different RAM and RAM configs
The PSU is an Aero Cool Vp-550 550W. Thats the one that doesn't display a picture except on an AMD build I have.
THe other PSU I used that does work on every other build is a generic model from a HP Pavillion P653a. Its a 250W unit.

Does that help?

Thanks for your time as well.

cheers.
