Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P memory issues/incompatibility

First of all this is my first threat in this forum and the first time in about 15 years that I built my own PC, so apologies if I miss any obvious points about my issue but I have not manged to find any solution.

I am using the following motherboard/memory combo:
Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P
Kingston HyperX Fury 2x8GB DDR4-2666

When I first built the PC I did not get video output at all and as a solution switched the two memory sticks from the grey into the black slots and the PC started out fine, recognized both sticks. Then after a few days the PC again didnt boot. I tried to switch the memory back to the other slots but it wouldnt start up. I then switched the memory back to the black slots and the PC started again. So every few days, the PC is not starting up and as a solution I pull the memory and re insert it.

Obviously this is not a long term solution so I was wondering if I can change anything in the BIOS settings to make the PC recognize the memory every time (and in all four slots, as I potentially will extend my memory sometime down the line). Or would you suggest I get in touch with Gigabyte for a replacement?

It might be a CPU socket bent pins issue. I suggest removing the CPU and checking the socket. See if any bent pins.

Have you loaded the XMP profile in the UEFI? Do you have the latest UEFI firmware version?
Memory support isnt that great yet on the new boards, so there are still a lot of problems. So it might just be incompatibility or maybe defective RAMs.

Tried both solutions; the CPU/Motherboard socket pins look OK. I also flashed the BIOS and loaded the XMP profile but no joy.

Please let me know if any other suggestions, I'm considering returning the motherboard and going for one from another manufacturer as this already the second time I'm having issues with Gigabyte..

I was told start with native - default of 2133MHz and have XMP turned off. There also been bugs/ glitches known with memory Slots with all MB manufactures (Asus, Asrock, MSI, etc.) of Z170's just not Gigabyte especially if using all 4 slots. You need to check with GIGABYTE and see what solutions they have. You might try using slots 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3, not sure if allowed to do so which you should check with Gigabyte.
Is Kingston HyperX Fury 2666MHz on Gigabytes vendors support List (compatibility) ?
Last 2 resorts, try some other Memory and does not work then you probably have a bad motherboard.

Motherboard has support for DDR4 3466(O.C.) /3400(O.C.) /3333(O.C.) /3300(O.C.) /3200(O.C.) /3000(O.C.) /2800(O.C.) /2666(O.C.) /2400(O.C.) /2133 MHz memory modules.

Is the CPU overclocked?

What is your memory part number?
