So I recently upgraded my computer to a skylake design. I went through hours of hassle getting everything working, dealing with a borked hdd, bad ssd install and then win 7 crappery.
Long story short, part of my problems were that my win7 install usb has no native usb 3.0 support (apparently). I decided to wipe my drives and do a proper, clean install of 8.1 on my ssd, enabling 3.0 support and a few other mobo options.
The problem is that the driver cd that came with the mobo doesn't work on 8.1. When trying to use autorun, i get the error "Express install is not supported on this operating system". I know the disk is fine because autorun worked on another 8.1 harddrive.
I'd just go and find the drivers myself, but I can't install the network drivers included on the disk and I'd prefer to have the full package offered with the mobo.
Can anyone help me out here? How can I get this cd to run?
