Hey, just a quick question.

I have a Gigabyte GA-Z270-K3 Gaming board and I've found a good deal on the RAM, but I'm not sure whether it will be compatible or not. The RAM is: 2x 8 GB G.Skill Trident Z DDR4, 3200MHz, CL16 (F4-3200C16D-16GTZB)

I've looked at the list of compatible memory on the official Gigabyte's site (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z270-Gaming-K3-rev-10#support-doc) and it's not listed. Similar memories, like the G.Skill Ripjaws V, are listed, but this specific one isn't.

If that's relevant, my CPU is i7-7700k.

I obviously wouldn't want to buy the RAM if it won't work correctly with this motherboard. So my question is - will it be compatible?

Thanks!

Solution
The specs are right and G.Skill lists them as Intel XMP 2.0 ready. So, they should work with any Intel Z270 Chipset motherboard (or other Intel chipset which supports DDR4 and XMP). There is always the possibility they won't work at full speed. They should work in that motherboard.

If you already have other RAM installed you intend to use with it. They will only work at the fastest settings they have in common.

No, I'll only use the G.Skill ones. I'll move my current RAM to my old "spare parts" build.

Thanks for the answer!
