Do you need 8Gb more of RAM? You can hold up to 32GB of RAM on your motherboard, but if you only game then 8GB is enough.

Well keep in mind you have a dual-channel motherboard, and dual channel ram. You may actually slow down your performance in some scenarios, such as slightly lower FPS in certain games, etc.

What is your setup and what games are you wanting to Box in?

More importantly, what is your memory usage during a normal session. You should go to into task manager and see if you are even getting anywhere near your 8GB capacity - it's a shame to spend 60+ dollars come to find it gives you SLOWER performance.

I typically recommend dual channel memory kits for dual channel motherboards... The only time you want a quad channel kit is on a quad channel capable motherboard such as the X99.
