hey guys

currently I'm running with a core i5-4690 CPU, gtx 770 GPU, g.skill sniper 8gb ram and I'm after afew upgrades ive found a gtx 1050ti and a corsair 16gb ddr3 ram I'm just wondering if my mobo is compatible with these upgrades or are there other products I can get to better my gaming experience as in in game graphics and better fps. I'm working with a $600 limit for upgrades but not too sure on what to get.

thanks for any advice

For the GPU, going from a GTX 770 to a GTX 1050 Ti is actually a slight downgrade: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-770-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050-Ti/2174vs3649

You could look at a GTX 1060-6GB (50% increase) or a GTX 1070 (100% increase) but the prices of these GPUs are too high right now due to the market. I would look into getting a GTX 1080 as a true upgrade (180% increase) http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-770-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1080/2174vs3603 but only if you are planning to game along the lines of a 1440p/120Hz or at the very least a 1080p/144++Hz monitor on AAA ultra settings.

As for the RAM, the 16GB DDR3 would physically fit in your Z97 mobo, but you did not mention the speeds. Your MB can be OC'd, so...

I would also look into upgrading the i5-4690 (a locked/non-OC'able CPU) to an i7-4790K to exploit the potential of your motherboard's overclocking abilities. You should add an aftermarket cooler for that (such as the Cryorig H7 or H5, depending on your chassis' space clearance).
