Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI RAM question

Hey, I want to buy a Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI motherboard along with Kingston Fury 2x4GB DDR3-1866 RAM. However, it says "1866 (OC)" at the supported memory type on the specs page. What does this stand for, and will this RAM work with this Motherboard?

It means that by default, the RAM won't boot at 1866, but it is reachable through overclocking the RAM through BIOS.

It will work and the OC stands for overclocked since it is higher than the CPU ram speed support but will work fine.

You would only have to overclock the RAM to reach 1866MHz. The RAM will work fine regardless, just will probably boot at 1600 by default - depending on the MB you choose.

On your board you will only have to activate XMP profile in BIOS/UEFI to get it to run at 1866!

Also, you will absolutely not notice any difference if your RAM is running at 1600 or 1866.
