Gigabyte gaming 7 io Shield

This is my first build. I'm not sure where to plug the io shield on the motherboard. I see 2 possible locations but I can't find anything in the manual as to where to plug it in.

it pops into the back of your chosen case, when mounting the motherboard the slots will fit over all your peripherals.

Yes I have done that but there is an actual plug that goes to the mobo that comes off of the backing plate.

does it connect to blue usbs?

It's a small 4 prong connector that has a blue green red and black wire.

If the cables look like the following, or closely resemble them, they may actually be for RBG led lights, hits the red, blue, green and black wire. If your motherboard does not support a connection, you can purchase a RBG controller to add in your case.
