I am having problems with my system when trying to run graphic intense games. I tried to run 2005 3d Benchmark test and it stopped each time after about 1 min and 30 secs. After freezing up the system went back to the desktop but kept flickering ever few seconds. These are the 2 messages from the bench mark test I got.

NV4_display driver stopped working normally

and

IDirect3d9::createdevice failed: Invalid Call (D3DERR_invalidcall)

I have these componets:
ASUS A8N32 SLI DELUXE
ATHLON 64 X2 3800
Gigabyte 7800 GT
480 watt ANTEC Truepower 2.0
Windows XP Pro SP2

Please help let me know if my graphics card is at fault or what I can do to fix this. Thanks!

I can only think of one thing, the motherboard

I do not like asus and the board I bought would not run my fxf geforce 6600 pci express x16 it only ran at x4 graphics all over the place and benchmarking was only 4000 on 3dmark 2003, changed the board to an elite 915pl-a2 bench marked at ove 6500 no problem.

I am seeing more and more help questions on here regarding pci express cards I just dont get what asus are doing, they say the boards are pci express ready and sli ready, but why are so many people having problems with them.

Try:

1: Reinstalling or updating your video drives
2: Reinstalling or updating your motherboard drivers (The Nforce drivers aren't updated much, so you likely have the most up to date ones)
3: Check for an updated BIOS (Asus updates their BIOS's somewhat regularly, though again, the Nforce chipset is fairly mature, so not many updates happen).

if all those fail, call ASUS. They are a stand up company, and if there was a bad batch of motherboards, I'm sure they'll be good about replacing it.
