Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Windforce OC vs ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 FE? Which one's better? There's a 20 dollar difference between the two (Zotac being more expensive), so should I upgrade?

Solution
The Windforce is better, but even better than that is the EVGA SC or FTW, good acoustics, good thermals and build quality, and fantastic customer service.
Given the current pricing though (shite), if you can't kick out the extra bit for the EVGA card, the windforce is your best value bet. :)

My build is already ~$2877.76 including equipment :ouch:
It'll be ~$2907.76 if I get the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC and ~$2926.65 if I get the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW. Which one do you absolutely recommend considering my total right now?

The Windforce is fine since there's not really much performance difference between SC/FTW and Windforce.

But will I regret not purchasing the EVGA 1080 in a few years?

What country are you in?

My actual pc build is about 1750 dollars. A lot of my equipment (headset, monitor) is either top of the line or overpriced so I'm trying to sort that out before I purchase everything.

Does it really matter if Donald J. Trump is buying me this computer with his small loan of a million dollars?

Haven't bought anything yet but I'd appreciate some advice considering this is my first build.

This looks like a really nice build. Maybe I should check out my total on PCPartPicker rather than Amazon.
Here is my current build so far:
- EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC
- samsung 850 evo 500gb 2.5-inch sata iii internal ssd
- western digital 1tb sata 6gb/s 7200 rpm 64mb cache 3.5 inch
- corsair hydro series h115i extreme performance liquid cpu cooler
- nzxt s340 mid tower computer case
- intel 7th gen intel core desktop processor i7-7700k
- corsair vengeance lpx 16gb (2x8gb) ddr4 dram 3200MHz c16
- asus rog maximus ix hero lga1151 ddr4 dp hdmi m.2 usb 3.1 atx motherboard
- EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G3, 80 Plus Gold 650W
- Noctua NF-F12 PWM Cooling Fan
- Corsair Gaming K70 LUX Mechanical Keyboard, Backlit Red LED, Cherry MX Brown
- Acer XG270HU omidpx 27-inch WQHD AMD FREESYNC (2560 x 1440) Widescreen Monitor
- SteelSeries QcK Gaming Mouse Pad - Black
- Sennheiser GAME ZERO PC Gaming Headset - Black
- Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum RGB Tunable Gaming Mouse, FPS Mouse

Is this build good or am I going overboard with a few things? I'd appreciate some advice on the build unless you think I should just follow the build you suggested. I've gathered this list after doing some research and getting people's opinions on things, such as getting a water cooler instead of a air cooler. I don't really have a budget since I'm not the one paying, but I guess just don't surpass my legendary $3000 on a build.

> I think the 1080 ti might be an overkill since I plan on doing 1440 gaming rather than 4k.
> My friend also told me that a water cooler might be better if I end up overclocking.
> I don't really have experience with motherboards, so I don't know if mine is really good performance, if I need that performance, or if it's an overpay.
> A lot of people recommended the ram I'm planning on buying, so should I stick with it?
> Not sure if you meant to put two hdd, but I think my current storage plan is pretty good. Also the third hdd slot is supposedly hard to open so I'm going to stick with 1 ssd and 1 hdd.
> Twice on the forums people have told me to get a 650W psu, but idk what the right wattage is for my build

Way overkill, you don't need a water cooler unless you have the spare cash after performance and the rest are accounted for.
The 1080Ti isn't overkill though, I'd prefer more perf than my 1080 at 1440p 144hz.
I'll make a list, 2TB of HDD storage and a 500GB SSD sounds good.
What is your switch preference for keyboard?
