Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 in an "Antec 300" case ?

Thinking of buying "Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 WindForce 3x OC" and not sure if it would manage to fit in my Antc 300 case.

Think the card is approx 29cm in length which looks like it may just fit.
Anybody got any information on if it would fit or not as would hate to buy it and find it will not fit.

Current card is geforce 560ti, previously was a Palit geforce 260 and they fitted easily. Understand the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 is a big card though.

but this page says that the card is 27cm so you should be fine, cutting it really close, but it should work for you

It should fit, I had a gtx 480 which is 10.5 inches.

You will need to remove any hard drives from that area of the cage though.

And you will need to angle it in.

I see. Just got the one monitor at the moment and that only goes up to 1080. Mostly used for gaming.
Seems like 2 Gig should be fine then.

katalystx, in the end I did not buy the card due to having to divert funds to repair motorbike.
Sorry not to be able to give you an answer as to if it will fit or not.
I do intend to purchase the card as soon as I can afford it again. When I do so I will post the results up as soon as I know the answer.

I bought a GTX 770 last week and put it in my Antec 300. It fits - you have to angle it a bit to get it in, but it does indeed fit. It helps that the power connections to the card are on the top, rather than the end, or it would get tricky trying to work in/around the drive cage.

The specific model GTX 770 I put in was a Gigabyte Windforce model whose dimensions are 11.5"L x 5.08"W x 1.69"H.

it worked very well. I used a grinder to cut the hardrive cage. you only have to cut one side of the hardrive cage and that is the one closest to the motherboard. decide how many hard drives you will be using and then cut the rest off. It was also great for running all the cables behind the graphics card. I also had to drill out a few rivets and then use new rivets and a rivet gun to mount the hard drive cage back to the chassis once I was finished.if youd like some pictures let me know,ill upload them.

Thanks for the response. I ended up going with the evga acx cooler version. Probably not as cool as the gigaybte but I have had good luck with evga. I set up my computer fans to be a positive air pressure system so I think it should be enough.

Really stupid question but what precautions did you take before cutting the case, was your motherboard and things still in the PC while you did that or did you take it all out? How did you get rid of the metal chippings?
