Gigabyte Gefore Gtx 1060 windforce vs xfx Radeon r9 280x

I already have a r9 280x and I bought a i7 6700k, should I get a Gtx 1060? I'm gonna play games like arma 3, ghost recon wildlands, etc. Is the Gtx 970 or Gtx 980 better? Can't get it just wondering.

I would suggest the 1060, faster clock speed. I play arma 3 life and my 1060 ROG Strix works great. Unless you can get the R9 280x significantly cheaper the 1060 would be your best bet.
As for your second question, a GTX 980 would be better than a GTX 970.
