I FOUND IT, i finally found a fix to this rattling noise gigabyte GPU's are making!
If you dont know what i mean when i say this, linked below is a video clip of mine, its awful, as you can see!

https://streamable.com/vr66y8

I had this sound out of the box and struggled for days with it, until i finally came to the fix. and its really simple!

If you look closely on the right hand side of the card here you can see i have made a small gap between the two pieces of plastic. To fix this issue, all that is needed is to make this gap in your own card (out of the box those pieces of plastic are touching, this is what causes the sound) There are no screws to undo, just carefully pull the bottom part of the shroud downwards, away from the top half, you only need to make a tiny gap, so dont go yanking on the card.

just place two fingers on the top half, two fingers on the bottom half and pull the two pieces of plastic apart a tiny bit, as said there are no screws to undo, it is just held in by friction.

I hope this can help someone as i was really about to send the card back as the sound was getting over whelming!

EDIT: below im going to link some diagrams that people have made in this thread to help explain

as seen above, just carefully pull the shroud on the right hand side of the card down, there is no screws to undo. just shift it down a lil bit and boom fixed.
before i did this, the card made the sound in the video above every 10 minutes or so, after i did it, i played ark survival evolved for 7 hours straight without hearing it once, and still to this day i havent heard it!

YO EXPLAIN PROPERLY.

what did you do? what is right side of the card? from what angle? what?

Im happy for you haha, i was dealing with it for at least a week until i randomly fixed it out of frustration.

btw it seems to be something to do with heat. because in my old case with the side panel on i would get it constantly. but with the side panel off it wouldn't happen. so it seems to only occur when the card hits around 80c. maybe the plastic expands and catches on the fan, idk.

So along the entire right side of the card, there is a small gap? Or is it just in that specific area you showed in the photo? Also, can you pry it open like that easily?

Thank you very much , I had low speed fan rattle on my new Gigabyte RTX 2070 right out the box, by splitting top right corner plastic cover ( pry it open carefully with just your fingers - nothing to unscrew) - boom instant fix, been 100% silent for several days now, idle or high loads very silent performance. here is the diagram I made View: https://imgur.com/a/xfurcbT

Just in case you were wondering why so much interest in this forum topic lately, last inventory of GTX 2000 cards were highly discounted to clear remaining retail stock ( high volume was sold very recently) before 3000 announcement/reveal, they are no longer in production,

I experience the same problem but I can't see the pictures uploaded, so I don't have any idea about what to do. Could you please upload the photos again and help me?
