hello, I have hp elite 8100 pc. I don’t understand much about computers, but i want a bit better video card.

Specs: i5 750 cpu, 4x2gb ddr3 ram, 240gb ssd, 240w psu

so can i put a gigabyte gt 710 2gb gpu? it says that it needs 300w psu but i have only 240w.

Solution
I'm worried about the psu, because mine is 240w, 710 needs 300w. Now I have AMD Radeon HD 7300 series 1gb GPU so I think 710 would be better

The 710 doesn't need 300 watts, the car at most uses 20 watts. The 1030 will use 30 watts and gtx 1050s will only use 75 watts. People put 1050s in this types of computers all the time, you will be fine.

75 watts is the maximum power draw any graphics card that has no supplemental power cables from the PSU will draw since the PCIe slot on your motherboard can only deliver 75. The 710 is waste of money, as I suggested get a GT1030 or IMO a low profile GTX 1050 or even a low profile 1050ti as long as it doesn't require a PCIe power cable from the PSU. One thing though is alot of OEM...

I wouldn't even bother with the 710, its barely better then the intel integrated graphics. If I were you either look at a GT 1030 or a low profile GTX1050, you can usually find both used pretty cheap.

One thing though is alot of OEM motherboards such as Dell have bad power delivery on the PCIe slots so a 1050ti might be pushing it since it will almost always draw on the higher end of the 75 watts compared to a GTX1050
