Hi guys,
recently bought a Gigabyte GTX 1060 3GB Mini ITX with a base clock of 1556 MHz with boost clock of 1771 MHz( with OC mode turned on in gigabyte xtreme gaming software).
Now my question is for some reason the core clock during gaming however hits 1938 MHz and not 1771 MHz, which is baffling me a little, so I thought maybe I got lucky or that it is supposed to be this way? But also thought maybe it was second hand despite amazon stating it was new?
Not a big deal but just wanting to know as If it isn't supposed to be this way then I don't want to fry my card, cut it's lifespan or it to have a negative impact on gaming performance if it is an unstable oc.
There may be simple explanation to this and apologise if it is I've been out of the pc gaming loop thing for 8+ years and have forgotten a lot of things.
thanks
