Gigabyte GTX 1060 getting no power

I have just bought a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 6gb and for some reason there seems to be no power going into it. All cables are in correctly, BIOS updated on motherboard and the PC works fine when using my other graphics card. Any idea on some next steps?

what model is your other GPU?

My PSU is Corsair CX750M and my other graphics card is a ASUS GeForce 560ti

when you say there's no power going to it, is the PC starting up but just not sending anything to the display?

So power goes to everything else, but it doesn't send any form of display to my monitor, it's just a fully black screen. My monitor recognises some form of activity as it comes off of standby to show the black screen.

if you haven't already, try updating the bios

just in case it's running on an old version

Just updated the BIOS to the latest version, which is an update from 2016. Any other ideas, should I maybe reset the CMOS battery, would that help?

a cmos reset is worth a try

might be worth a DDU driver wipe and re-install as well

URGENT! I have tried almost everything, DDU uninstall/reinstall, CMOS reset, BIOS update and I can't think of any other reason why this new GPU wouldn't be working. I have a M5a78l-m LX v2, FX-6300 six core AMD processor, Corsair CX750 PSU. System is working fine when I have my ASUS 560TI 1GB in. Please, any suggestions?!

I have a PCIE that runs from my PSU, if that's what you mean? Just clicks right in place. Also it's worth mentioning this is the windforce version of the GPU and only has a 6-pin PCIE slot

have u upgraded your Mobo BIOS?
had any beeper on the mobo? beep can mean error code

Have you checked the Ram?

Yes I checked the ram, my PC loads up with onboard graphics but no display when trying to use the GPU.

I just bought a new GTX 1060 and have put it in my PC. My BIOS is update, reset CMOS, everything is working fine (RAM etc), windows won't recognise the card in device manager at all, not even in hidden devices and there's 0 devices with a yellow triangle next to it. I can't install the drivers because windows won't recognise the card. I go into my BIOS settings but there's no dGPU settings to choose from. My motherboard is an ASUS M5a78l-m LX V2. Any help ASAP would be great because I have been trying now for two days.

Also, what is producing the video output you're looking at? If its the integrated, disable it in BIOS and plug your video cable into the GPU, making sure that you plugged the power cables in.

Hi, how do I disable the intergrated graphics on BIOS? I can't seem to find an option anywhere. Power is going to it, the fans are spinning to I know it's working.

You have the 8pin plugged in? You have the monitor attached to the card and not the motherboard?

Mine isn't 8-pin, it's 6-pin, and yes I have a HDMI connected to it but still my pc won't recognise it's even there even though it is running.

Where did you purchase the card from?

System specs? Maybe your PSU isn't good enough to power that GPU?

Are you using power plugs from only one set of wires? Try using a plug from each set. It doubles the wires going to the GPU, but when I had my Antec EA750W it was the only way I could power up my R9 280.
