Hey, i have a question. I installed the newest drivers for my card GTX 1060 OC from Gigabyte and installed the ones from the cd. I'm just wondering if my card should overclock automatically. So, when it is in idle mode the GPU Clock and Memory Clock are normal (GPU CLOCK 1556 MHz), like on the page where i bought it. But when i go to run some benchmarks the gpu clock goes up to almost 2000 mhz and should it do it? It is doing it automatically, i haven't changed any overclock options. And what temperature is okay for the graphics card, like what is the highest it can get and not burn itself. Thanks for all the answers guys.

Is this the card? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125901
If so...
The specs state that Boost mode is almost 1800 MHz. Going to 2000 MHz is a bit unusual. But keep in mind that the rated specs are to be considered the minimum. I have had cards that go well above their rating. Also, there is always the possibility of the software reading the clock speed being off a bit.

Nvidia recommends 94C as the max temp. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/10series/geforce-gtx-1060
The card should throttle back its clock speed if it gets too hot. There is a safety mechanism to keep it from killing itself.
