Gigabyte GTX 1070 Windforce OC not performing well

After I first installed the new card, I didn't notice a frame rate jump from my R9 280x. I currently have an M5a99x EVO board with 8GB Kingston Fury X and FX4350 at 4.2GHz.

Second indication in Blade and Soul, same issues there; no performance boost.

So I ran FFXIV heavensward bench and got 10262 score, which was lower than my R9. I saw a massive increase in loading time from 35s to 48s. Avg frame rate only increased from 89fps to 95fps.

Did I get a dud card? I also noticed Heavensward bench "saw" only 3GB of VRAM.

Other things to note; I have most recent bios version and a "clean" install of windows 10 home on a SanDisk 250GB SSD. Running a modular 780w thermaltake power supply with one cable dedicated to the video card.

Afaik, Blade and Soul is a CPU demanding game, so you might want to try and overclock your CPU further to see if that helps
