hello all,

wow its been awhile since i posted last, i bet you all think your safe from me?? YOU WERE WRONG!!!

okie dokie, now that that's out of my system.(sorry!!!!)

PC specs:

CPU
Intel i5 4440 3.1 Ghz

Motherboard
gigabyte B85M-DS3H

Ram
8GB hyperX 1600 mzh

power supply

EVGA 500w(basic version)

video card

Gigabyte GTX 750 TI

**no componets are OC'D

on may third, i had an overheat alarm go off on my video card(using real temp to moniter, now using both to back up/confirm temps) i quickly exited my game and check the temp. that real temp was reporting and it showed my video card hit 75"C,( i know the TJ for my card is about 80-83 give or take.)
ge
since then i have checked to make sure that my fans are spinning, and the heatsinks are clean, to no avail.

i have begun to order parts that i would need in order to replace the thermal paste and pads, however i am worried that the paste i have will cause more damage then it would good.

i have bought(i guess its a knock-off or generic version) of AS5 called Artic Alumina, it is a ceramic based TP.

Thermal paste:

Stop!

First: The 750 Ti officially launched February 18, 2014. Chances are that you purchased it within the 3 year warranty period. Therefore I would not tamper with the GPU's thermal paste yet.

Submit RMA request to Gigabyte, just so you have the option of submitting the card for a warranty repair or replacement.

Use a can of compressed air to blow dust out of the GPU's heatsink. Do not physically remove the heat sink from the GPU in order to clean it. And while blowing air into the fan/heat sink, hold the fan steady with your finger to prevent it from spinning while performing this action.

Take a handful of photos of the inside of your build. Upload them to imgur and share the link here.
