so the card has slots for the black ends with 6 pins and we have 2 cables for it. each cable splits into 2 molex 3 pin endings so there are 4 molexs. in my pc i only have 2 spare molex slots. where should i plug them into/ what should i do?

Solution

Yes, good sir. And that's a 100% no to buying splitters. As the psu would not handle the card. Unless you want to ruin ur psu and maybe card and maybe a bit of parts with it. I highly recommend you upgrading the psu :)

i dont know 🙁 don't really want to buy another. i'll probably take it apart again in a bit ill take some pictures of inside my computer

i might need to upgrade me psu but im thinking of getting molex splitters as it's a lot cheaper, what do you think? my friend just came round and we had a look at it and i took some pictures but basically everything in my pc is really old. the psu isn't modular, my old/current (for now) gpu runs solely off the motherboard
