gigabyte gtx 770 2gb OC windforce SLI or Upgrade?

i have a single gtx 770 2gb OC edition with sometimes running tripple monitors, on windows 10.

my question is to get more performance, should i SLI with 2 770 2gb or just upgrade to say something like the 980?

what are the limits, pro/cons to having a sli setup vs having a higher card?

Having the single more powerful card is always the better option. Two 770s would perform well most of the time, but you would randomly have troubles because not all games are optimized for SLI. They'll also get hot and loud under load. You'd be stuck at 2GB vram. You would either have to buy a used 770 or you would overpay to get a new one.

The single 980 has no downside.
