Hello guys long time I post here, I got a question for all of you.

Recently I been thinking about SLI but I don't know if its worth it or not.
I got 3 monitors, the only thing I do is some photoshop work (not very intensive) and play FPS games.

My GTX 770 hdmi port recently broke so I been thinking that since I probably could not sell it like that for a reasonable price I would SLI both.

Now heres a question, I got 4GB of Vram atm, my PSU is a coolermaster 800 MW. I dont knoe which model is it but its gold modular, was recommended by someone here. I couldnt get Seasonic :/

Will another GTX 770 4gb make a difference?
How about 770 2gb? That would even work?
Can I get another brand apart from Gigabyte? I'd love another one but they are hard to find at a decent price right now.

By the way I only game on 2 monitors the third one I just turn it to watch movies. But im not playing when I watch movies so its a 2 monitor setup.

Solution
Ideally it would be another 770 4GB. If you were to install a 2GB card and enable SLI they would both act as though they have 2GB.

It would certainly improve performance to add the second card. But if you are just doing it for the HDMI port you might consider selling it to someone that wants to do SLI and purchase a newer faster card like the GTX970.

Either way would work though.

Single GPU solutions are always more elegant unless you are running flagship cards (770 was a flagship card, but isn't any longer)

Depends on what you can buy a 770 4GB for. New is probably out of the question, but used might get you a good deal.

GTX970, GTX980, GTX980Ti are all available (980Ti came out today basically)

GTX970 is about 50% faster then a GTX770, so a pair of them would be faster then a GTX970 or GTX980.

Really comes down to what you want to spend.

BTW...You can buy gtx 770 EVGA models that are refurbished on newegg.com.

However, I just realized that the 4GB models are around $250-$300. So a gtx 970 would be better.
