Gigabyte GTX 780 WINDFORCE 3x 450w explanation?

I am confused about the 450w advertised on the GPU. does this mean the GPU will use 450/600w PSU, leaving only 150w for the rest of the components?

Please help explain.

It'll dissicipate 450W of heat generated with its WINDFORCE cooling system, lol.

Pretty much. Their cooler can deal with up to 450W of heat output (according to their marketing and testing, within their definition of acceptable performance, so a bucket of salt is needed).
