No, it cant, it's basically pushed to its limits and even then a base clock gtx 960 will take it down, go for the 960 no question, or even better, if there is an r9 380for the same price, go for it however checm if your psu can handle it.

The site says it needs 2x6pin connectors
I am currently looking for parts so I can change psu
I am thinking of a corsair 500m if it's compatible

It is, however personally I would go for something like the evga supernova gs 550w, way better psu, however comes at a slightly higher price.
