Gigabyte GTX 970 Black Screen Flashes

Hey Guys. I have Gigabyte GTX 970 g1 4gb. I recently played PUBG Mobile with Emulator on this card. I set the settings to 'Ultra HD 4K' since graphics at 1080p were not that good. It automatically reset the graphics to 'Ultra HD 2K'. Since then the GPU has developed the issue of giving flashes of Black Screen. Now when I play GTA V, it usually crashes suggesting to play it in reduced graphics mode. the black flashes appear frequently while playing and also when idle.

Please Suggest me if the setting to Ultra HD 4k would have done some damage to GPU or not and hot to solve this issue

The 970 was not built for 4k gaming...even 2k would be pushing it IMO.

But given the low graphics of the game, I decided to try 4k, would it have done any harm to the gpu and is it the case of black flashes?

What graphics driver version do you currently have installed?

Have you checked it see what temp the card is running at? It might be overheating.

Probably driver related then, i doubt you damaged it with your 4k adventure

I'll try reinstalling the drivers then. But should I be satisfied that the use of 4k in pubg mobile would not have cased any damage to the gpu?

I don't believe PUBG has caused any hardware damage
