Gigabyte GTX 970 Installation

Hi everyone. With the advice of users in this website, I decided to get the GTX 970. Since the stock is very limited, my GTX 970 will arrive in a few weeks.

Since this is my first time that I build my computer. I wanted to ask on how do I install the Graphics card. I know you have to put it in the PCI-e slot, then you have to connect the 6 pin and 8 pin power connector. But is that all I do or do I have to do a clean install of windows. Thank you.

No, you don't need to re-install Windows, but you will have to install the drivers.

That is the correct installation method. Obviously you'll have to connect your monitor to the GPU afterwards.

Just start the computer and install the Nvidia drivers and you're good to go.

No reinstallation of Windows is needed.
