i want to buy GIGABYTE GTX 970 Xtreme

but my problem is
my PSU is 550watts


my question
i need upgrade my vs550 PSU to 600watts or i stay to my 550WATTS???

my computer spec:
i3 6100 (not OC)
h110M D
120GB SSD Samsung pro
2x4 hyperx 2133mhz
tecware alpha case black
3pcs 120mm fan and 2pcs af140 corsair stock fan.

They recommend a 600w for that card, but depending the quality of your power supply you may be okay. Try it and if you have issues order a better power supply.

It has enough power on the rail and 2 - 6+ 2 connections , so yes it can , but not ideal to use a low quality power supply with good components.

Can it , YES , recommend it , not really.

But why buy the gtx now anyway?
AMD's RX 480 is a little faster , a lot cheaper , and uses less power

There are places in the world where the 970 is cheaper than a RX480 and even places where the 480 isn't available yet. This site is available internationally.

I agree. The only time it is worth buying a gtx 970 is if the RX 480 is not available or someone is price gouging for it

In a few days there will be alternative designs using the RX 480 .
And it will still be faster than the GTx 970 and cheaper too
