My Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti Graphics Card shuts down as soon as it reaches 60°c causing the PC to crash. Is there any way to raise this cut-out temperature so my fans have a chance to kick in and cool the card before it crashes? I have no real interest in Overclocking the card, I just want it to run moderate games.
Product Name: GTX 980 Ti Windforce
BIOS Ver: Version 84.0.36.0.6e
Operating System: Win 7 64-bit
Driver Ver: 24.21.13.9731

Solution
You might want to look into the BIOS to see if there is a custom BIOS for your card to resolve this issue. Although, it may be hard coded in which the only way to change is manually
Is there any way to reset the thermal cutout temperature on this card? It works fine unless the card's temperature climbs to 60°c, at which point it locks up the PC causing a random solid coloured screen and looping sound. I have to shut down manually and re-boot.
I was wondering if a BIOS update might fix the issue. Any ideas?

If the fans are left on Auto, they don't kick in until 60°c, by which time the card has tripped out. Hence my question,
"Is there any way to reset the thermal cutout temperature on this card?"
I have a manual fan profile set to cool the card before it reaches 60°c, but this is just masking the problem. The card should not trip at such a low temperature.
