I have an intel DH61WW Motherboard which has a PCI Express 2.0 bus and a LGA1155 Socket. I really want to buy a Gigabyte GV-R938G1 GAMING-4GD (4GB) graphics card but I am not sure if my motherboard is compatible with this graphics card. I would be very grateful for any help to sort out this problem. Thanks in advance!

Hi Sharif,

As you may know there are 3 different PCI-E x16 Slots, 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 (Main ones anyway) And these are all backwards compatible. As the card you are looking at is a PCI-E 3.0 connection, it is backwards compatible to PCI-E 2.0.

So yes, you would be able to use that graphics card with that motherboard!

Edit: There is no loss of performance with this either.

Hope I helped, have a good day! :)
