Gigabyte H270 gaming 3 board and ddr4 ram speeds

First build in many years. Rookie mistake I bought a motherboard with 2400mhz as the highest supported ram speed.

However, I've found plenty of DDR4 3200mhz out there for the same or lower price than 2400mhz. Will I be able to use it via XMP or should I stick with the 2400mhz?

I have an I5 7600k cpu if that info is needed.

The motherboard won't go speeds further than 2400mhz but if you get a 3200mhz for cheap then you can buy it incase you wish to upgrade your motherboard in the future

You can still use your 3200MHz RAM, they will just only run at 2400MHz. You will need a motherboard with a Z270 series chipset to be able to overclock your RAM to 3200MHz, as well as you cannot overclock your K CPU with your current motherboard.

Well my info might be relevant to OP. This is a public forum, if you cannot stand someone else is posting in the same threads as you, then you shouldn't post in a public forum.

Thanks for the info guys. No need to fight, all input is welcome. Will just buy whatever is cheaper on pay day. (Not low end cheap brand of course).
