Hello all,

I am planning to build a budget gaming rig with pentium g3258. I found this mobo, but not sure if it support overclocking as wasn't able to find any reviews. Other model H81-H supports indeed, but just want to make sure :) I chose this mobo especially because it doesn't need any bios update prior to installation of that particular cpu, just want to avoid any hassle. thanks a lot !

Solution
Yes with any H81 board you can Oc the g3258 processor.

I have find some gigabyte motherboards which have been tested for G3258.

Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2V (Micro-ATX): OC to 4.39 GHz. (Voltage limited to 1.2v by Gigabyte)

Gigabyte GA-H81M-H (Micro-ATX): OC to 4.3 GHz. (Voltage limited to 1.2v by Gigabyte)

Gigabyte GA-H81-D3 (ATX): 4.0 GHz at 1.115 volts

Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H (Micro-ATX) : Reported to Non-Z OC Pentium 3258 to 4.3 Ghz, and 4.0 Ghz post (Voltage limited to 1.2v by Gigabyte)

Gigabyte H97N-WIFI (Mini-ITX): 4.1 GHz at 1.2v

Solution
Nope, it was out of stock so I went for B85M-DS3H from Gigabyte, just we euros more but with 2 more DDR slots. Managed to get 3.9 Ghz only, but doesn't matter.
